Help Teddy Continue His Fight Against Brain Cancer

A few months before his fifth birthday, Teddy's family received devastating news: he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of medulloblastoma, a pediatric brain cancer.

Teddy required emergency brain surgery to remove a tumor located at the back of his brain. Further testing revealed metastatic grade 4 medulloblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of pediatric brain cancer.

Within only a few months, the cancer had spread throughout Teddy's brain, spine, and cerebrospinal fluid. His mother, Cindy, and her partner, Liam, were suddenly faced with a fight no family should ever have to endure.

Hope arrived when Teddy was accepted into a two-year clinical trial at Penn State Children's Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The program uses new treatments for children with high-risk medulloblastoma and offered Teddy another opportunity to keep fighting.

However, accessing the trial created an enormous financial barrier. The total cost of treatment, ongoing tests and scans, travel, insurance, and accommodation is estimated to be at least $150,000.

At the time of Teddy's acceptance, his family was given an extremely limited window to secure the funding and begin the program. This placed Cindy and Liam under unimaginable pressure while they were already trying to process Teddy's diagnosis and remain beside him throughout his treatment.

The family is also facing housing uncertainty because their landlord is selling the home they rent. They had expected to return to work, but Teddy's condition has made spending every possible moment caring for and loving him their greatest priority.

Uplift Foundation is bringing our community together to help Teddy and his family continue exploring treatment and clinical trial opportunities without carrying this overwhelming financial burden alone.
